Oscar Leyva MSN, RN
Oscar is a founding member of the team and has been a Registered Nurse since 2001 after he graduated from UT El Paso. He enjoyed the high-stakes environment of working in the intensive care unit, but he wanted to explore more opportunities in the nursing world. He knew that to make a more significant impact in his patients’ lives; he would need to expand his knowledge and skillset. After spending some time working as a dialysis nurse, PICC nurse, and in management, Oscar decided to pursue his master’s degree in nursing at Wilkes University.
Oscar loves getting “healthy people staying healthy,” as he puts it. He enjoys meeting and interacting with his clients daily to help them live their best, healthiest life. Whether a patient is looking for IV hydration, hormone replacement therapy, or something else that Smooth Aesthetics offers, Oscar is eager to assist them.
Oscar Leyva is married with two beautiful children. When not with patients, he can be found cooking, exercising, playing chess, listening to live music, adding to his vinyl record collection, traveling, snow skiing, playing poker, or watching football.

Lori Alder RN, Injector
Lori has been in nursing since 2007 working in the Emergency Department. For the last 12 years, she has worked in a Level II trauma center and as much as she loves the chaos and challenge of the ER, she also loves the aesthetic and wellness world. This passion drove her to pursue a position where she could help others feel like their best self.
Lori enjoys meeting new clients, spending time with them, and being a part of their wellness journey. She also loves the artistry of injecting and helping her clients feel more confident in their appearance, whether it be with neurotoxins and/or fillers. Lori believes in educating her clients and taking every opportunity to keep her training and techniques up-to-date.
When Lori is not working, you can find her spending time with her husband, her two beautiful daughters, their fur babies, and friends. Some of her favorite free time activities include traveling, getting together with friends, music, and good movies.
Grace Broadway, Infusion Nurse
Grace has been a nurse since 2018. She learned the ropes in the Emergency Department in a Level II trauma center. The fast-paced and high-energy work environment was exciting to her, but her ultimate goal was to become an injector. She made the decision to move away from the ER and into aesthetics because she loves meeting new people and helping them find solutions so they can feel confident in their own skin.
Grace is passionate about aesthetics and wellness practices that go beyond the conventional solutions. Her clients enjoy spending time learning about what medicines and vitamins they should use and how it will affect their long-term health.
Outside of the office, Grace can be found spending time with her family and friends and traveling the world, watching live music, trying new foods, and anything that gets her outdoors.
Jana Potts RN
Jana has been a registered nurse since 1995. In her 25 years, she has worked in all aspects of oncology nursing with her primary focus being infusion therapy and patient education. She knows that treating patients physically only goes so far and that patient education is a key factor in lasting transformation.
Jana tried “retirement” for a while but quickly became bored and needed to find purpose in her daily life and activities. She met Oscar after trying to figure out how to start an infusion practice in her chiropractor’s office. She immediately loved the concept, flexibility, and structure of Oscar’s vision at Smooth Aesthetics. Providing another layer of wellness to clients has been such a blessing and learning about IV vitamins and wellness hydration has been fun and refreshing.
When Jana is not working with Smooth Aesthetics, she is enjoying time with her husband and three kids, helping out with her parents, gardening, and simply enjoying the amazing weather and outdoor activities in Austin.
Katie Moakly RN
Katie is a Registered Nurse and experienced aesthetic injector. From the very beginning, her dream was to work as a nurse in the aesthetic and wellness world. After attending nursing school in the Midwest, she moved to Texas and started training as an Aesthetic Nurse.
Katie is passionate about medical aesthetics and is inspired by its power to elevate a person’s confidence. Katie’s goal is to deliver natural results that enhance her patients’ signature features. Along with looking their best, she is also dedicated to helping her patients feel their best through IV therapy.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys exploring Austin with her puppy Max, going to Pilates, and traveling to visit her friends and family.
